Jarrettsville is a town in the northern part of the county of Harford, Maryland. The town was named after the Jarrett family who was known for farming a large portion of the land in the 19th century. My Lady’s Manor is a district within Jarrettsville County and parts of Baltimore and Harford County. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
Jarrettsville is a wonderful location for all things outdoor and nature. The town is home to Rocks State Park. The park provides trails that follow a river where you can witness imposing rapids. The trails also follow the mountain upwards to impressive elevations. The park contains a total of 855 acres, so there is no shortage of trails to visit.
One of the most popular attractions is the King and Queen Seat which is a large rock at the top of trail. If you are feeling daring, you can sit at the edge of the rock and see across the Maryland landscape for miles. The other most popular attraction is the Kilgore Falls, a beautiful waterfall that you can hike close enough to get wet with water spray.
