Joanna Parr, VMD

Hi, I'm Dr. Jo Parr. I'm excited to be a part of this community-centered emergency hospital in the Shrewsbury area. My early interest in veterinary medicine was ignited as a young child, leading me to pursue an undergraduate degree at Penn State. I obtained my veterinary degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and started my career in emergency medicine in 2012.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband, Carson Parr. We met at Penn State playing soccer and continue to play on a coed team with friends. We enjoy spending time with our families and our two rescue dogs Karma & Ella along with our cat Jewels and five chickens. Our other hobbies include traveling, the occasional 5k, snowboarding, gardening and hiking with our dogs.

I'm passionate about being there for families during times of stress when their furry family members are not feeling their best. I strive to help you and your family when it matters most.
